Purchase a Podcast to Grow Your Audience

Whether you’re building an established business or just starting out, odds are you know the importance of building an engaged audience.

In fact, you may have considered launching a podcast to set yourself up as a thought leader in your industry and bring more potential buyers to your website, store front, or ecommerce shop.

By purchasing a podcast instead, you can tap into the work someone else has already done and grow your audience much faster than if you had started from the ground up. In fact, even if you already have a podcast of your own, purchasing a podcast within an identical or similar niche can help you grow your audience too.

Buying a Podcast = Instant Audience Growth

Imagine for a moment you’re in the health space as a nutritionist, for example. You could start a podcast of your own and put in the countless hours creating content, finding experts, and growing your audience.

Alternatively, you could purchase a podcast from someone else in your same niche and instantly gain a new group of people for the audience you’re already building with other avenues.

You can acquire this audience in one of two ways.

Option 1 - You buy someone else’s podcast, do a few episodes with them, and then take over as the host of their show.

Option 2 - You buy someone else’s podcast, and redirect the purchased RSS feed to the podcast you have already started and instantly have new listeners.

Both options give you an immediate jump to the number of people in your audience which could translate into more sales for your business/more sponsors for your show.

Why Would Anyone Buy a Podcast?

To bypass the effort required to build an audience. You have valuable insights to share, you just need a platform to share it. And, it’s no secret that launching a podcast on your own can take months, if not years to grow its numbers.

With more podcasts coming online every day, podcasters just like you are looking for a competitive edge. But, you shouldn’t buy just any old podcast.

First, you want to make sure that it is in the niche you are trying to build an audience in.

Like we mentioned earlier, if you were a nutritionist, you would want to buy a podcast in that space. After all, one in sports wouldn’t make much sense - unless you were a sports nutritionist, and even that might be a hard transition.

Second, you want to make sure the podcast you’re considering has consistent download numbers.

Look for at least 2,000 downloads a month. All of the podcasts for sale on The Podcast Broker have been fully vetted before they can even be approved for our sales page. We make sure that only established podcasts with a minimum 2,000 monthly downloads are available for purchase.

Finally, you want a podcast that still has room for growth.

While going viral and tapping into trends is great, true thought leadership has staying power. That’s why you want a podcast that won’t just fizzle out overnight.

You need a podcast in your niche that still has topics to be talked about, and can keep growing so you can grow with it.
